Herb Alpin and his pinecones, new amigurumi pattern

It was about time... I didn't have any Christmas amigurumi, can you believe it?! This had to be fixed the sooner the better so I decided to create Herb. I thought about a tree because I've always loved Christmas trees, buying new ornaments, decorating the house...

But I don't like real trees, those I like in the woods, not in my living room. That's why I decided to crochet it instead of chopping it down.

But there's also another reason that made me choose a tree. I never spend the Christmas Holidays at home because I always go visiting my family, so I always end up not decorating my home. If I'm not going to be there to enjoy it... and it makes me so sad...

With Herb everything is different, he's the portable Christmas spirit. You can leave him in a nice place in your home, such as the hall, the shelves in your living room, your bedroom...

I know a lot of people in the same situation, so I bet this year they're having a Herb Alpin as a Christmas present... I'm already crocheting a great bunch of them!

Herb is a fir. A fir that was born and raised in a wonderful forest, surrounded by his fir family and many other trees. His best friends are Peggy Nut, Cone Sue and Mary Pine, 3 pine cones whom he has shared all his playing moments with, since they were barely sprouts. The woods are ok, but Herb always wanted more, he wanted to see the world.

Sometimes Herb would see humans walking around his forrest. They would talk about magical places where trees wore lights, stars and other sparkling stuff. This is what he wanted! He wanted to shine!
Brillar!

I’m going to tell you something that you might don’t know about trees. They can walk. (Only if they want to, of course). There’s only a few of them willing to move away from their habitat, but from time to time you can see one, like Herb. They take their legs out for a walk and move all over the place. Herb has very beautiful legs with striped stocking.

Herb has already arrived in the city with his 3 friends. He has already a star and a nice scarf, made out with Christmas lights that fits him perfectly and makes him look very stylish.. Now, the only thing left is to find a new home! Would it be yours?
